8.1 Transient Cookies

This enables your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

8.2 Persistent Cookies

These are automatically deleted after a predefined duration, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser.

You can influence the use of cookies by changing your browser settings. Most browsers have an option to limit or prevent the storage of cookies. Each browser manages cookie settings differently, and this is described in the respective help menu of your browser.

You can control and revoke this consent through our consent management (also known as “cookie banner” or “cookie settings”).

9. Analysis Tools

9.1 Use of Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files stored on your computer, to analyze how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activities, and provide other services related to website use and internet usage to the website operator.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all features of this website fully. Additionally, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that IP addresses are processed in a truncated form to prevent direct personal identification. Thus, if there is any personal reference to the data collected about you, it will be immediately excluded, and the personal data will be promptly deleted.

We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve our website's usage. The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offerings and make them more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has adhered to the EU-US Privacy Shield framework, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

The legal basis for the use of analysis tools is Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

10. Social Media Links

We link to social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube through respective symbols on our website. These are hyperlinks, through which no data transmission occurs. If you click on the link, you will be directly redirected to our respective social media presence. Data transmission to the respective social media service only occurs if you are logged into your respective user account. In this case, the respective social media platform may receive information about which content you viewed on our website.

Responsible for the linked social media services are solely:

  • Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA for Facebook;
  • Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Rd. Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA for Instagram;
  • YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., St. Bruno, CA 94066, USA for YouTube;
  • Pinterest Europe Ltd., Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Irland for Pinterest.

Please refer to the respective platform's privacy policies for more information on the purpose and extent of data collection, further processing, and use of your data by the respective social media service.

11. Facebook Connect

We use the "Facebook Connect" service provided by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Facebook") on our website. We offer you the option to log in to our website using Facebook Connect, provided you have a Facebook profile and grant us explicit consent to exchange data with Facebook. No additional registration is required in this case. To log in, you will be redirected to Facebook's page, where you can log in with your credentials. This establishes a direct connection between your browser and Facebook’s servers, linking your Facebook profile with our service. Through this connection, Facebook receives information that your browser has accessed the relevant page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not logged in at that moment. Depending on your privacy settings on Facebook, we automatically receive the following information from Facebook Inc. (name, email address, date of birth, address, Facebook name, user ID, age, gender, and possibly profile picture, friends list, and likes). We use only your name, email address, date of birth, and address for creating a user account, provided these have been shared with you on Facebook. This information is required for contract conclusion and to identify you.

For more information on Facebook Connect and privacy settings, please refer to Facebook Inc.'s privacy policy and terms of use: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

If you do not want Facebook to associate the data collected on our website with your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. You can also exclude the Facebook Connect plugin using browser add-ons.

Revocation

You may revoke your consent to the data exchange via Facebook Connect at any time in the future by contacting us at +49 (0)123 4567890 or email: douvos.contour@gmail.com.

12. Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA on our site. Google Tag Manager allows marketers to manage website tags through an interface. A tag is a piece of code or a data identifier. However, the Tag Manager itself does not use cookies and does not collect any personal data. The tags set up through Google Tag Manager only facilitate the collection of data that is forwarded to the target system. Because data is only passed through, the system does not itself collect or store the data obtained. Google Tag Manager merely triggers other tags that may collect data themselves. You can find appropriate explanations for these third-party providers in this privacy policy. However, Google does not use this data. If you have set or made a deactivation of cookies, this will be observed for all tracking tags implemented using Google Tag Manager, and the tool will not change your cookie settings.

Google may request your permission to share some product data (e.g., your account information) with other Google products to activate certain functions, such as simplifying the addition of new conversion tracking tags for AdWords. Additionally, Google developers may periodically review product usage information to further optimize the product. However, Google will not share such data with other Google products without your consent.

For further information, please refer to Google's terms of use and the privacy policies for this product.

13. Newsletter

(1) With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, through which we inform you about our current interesting offers. The advertised goods and services are specified in the consent statement.

(2) For newsletter registration, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after you register, we send an email to the provided email address, asking you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. Furthermore, we store the IP addresses and timestamps of your registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to provide evidence of your registration and to clarify any possible misuse of your personal data.

(3) The only required information for sending the newsletter is your email address. Providing additional marked data is voluntary and is used to personally address you. After your confirmation, we will store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis is Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

(4) You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe. You can revoke it by clicking the link provided in each newsletter email, by email to douvos.contour@gmail.com.

(5) Please note that when sending the newsletter, we evaluate your user behavior. For this evaluation, the sent emails include so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. For evaluations, we link the data mentioned in § 3 and the web beacons with your email address and a unique ID. The data obtained allows us to create a user profile to tailor the newsletter to your individual interests. We capture when you read our newsletters, which links you click on, and infer your personal interests from this.

Right to Object

You can object to this tracking at any time by clicking the separate link provided in each email or by informing us through another contact method, e.g., by phone: +49 1525 6792054 or email: douvos.contour@gmail.com. The information will be stored as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. If you unsubscribe, we will only store the data in anonymized form.

14. Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, and destruction. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

15. Data Retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. The retention period may vary depending on the nature of the data and the purpose for which it is processed.
